In our latest report, we share Fairview’s data on the size, evolution, and current characteristics of the universe of woman and minority-owned private equity and venture capital firms (firms majority owned by women and/or ethnic minorities in the US).

This year’s report shows a significant expansion in the universe of woman and minority-owned firms, as the universe of diverse firms has expanded nine fold since 2014, when Fairview initially started reporting this data. While the level of talent and number of quality of firms continues to grow, the backdrop has changed significantly. How general partners and limited partners react will have significant consequences.
